An Active Role

Vista is often the lead investor, and we typically co-invest with other firms in both early and follow-on rounds.  We believe in forming strong syndicates as a means to bring the broadest set of resources and contacts to the companies in which we invest.  We will usually take a board seat with our investment and establish strong working relatinships with portfolio company management.  The team has the skill set to provide relevant coaching on operational issues such as team builiding, strategy and sales and marketing.

We invest in early-stage software, digital media and network companies that provide unique products and services, and that have the potential to become market leaders.  The Vista team has been carefully constructed to include experts in eash of these sectors.  We like to be early investors in companies with the vision to provide a "must have" product or service and the desire to build a sustainable competitive advantage.

The firm focuses on companies in the greater Rocky Mountain region.  However, we do look broadly at deals, particularly in the southwestern U.S. where we can still be helpful in actively supporting the company.
