Indicative Software, Inc., the trend setting IT service management software company announced today that its all-in-one product has won the coveted 2006 Technology of the Year Award by InfoWorld for Best Application Performance Manager. The Technology of the Year awards recognize the past year's key IT trends, as well as the InfoWorld Test Center analysts' choices for the most innovative and valuable products for 2006. InfoWorld's editors have assessed technology from Application Performance Management products reviewed in the past year. Judging was based on categories which the editors consider important, along with product scores and qualities such as comprehensive monitoring features, set-up ease and overall value. Other companies honored with Technology of the Year awards include industry leaders such as Apple, Cisco and IBM.
Although Indicative is now shipping version 7.1, InfoWorld reviewed Indicative 6.5 earlier last year. According to the review, Indicative demonstrated powerful and flexible capabilities for active and passive monitoring, auto-discovery, detailed infrastructure and application monitoring, proactive alerts and correlation between performance, service level agreements and end-user experience. According to the reviewer, "Indicative is particularly strong at linking real-time performance measures with service-level agreements."
The product also received the highest rating from the magazine among all application performance management products reviewed in 2005. InfoWorld recently recapped all the reviews it conducted last year showing Indicative received the highest score. Indicative's all-in-one product earned an 8.6 rating out of a maximum of 10 in the publication's March 7, 2005 issue.
