Fort Collins, CO October 17, 2006

Indicative Software today announced a number of large corporations that have adopted its service-level approach to managing their complex, distributed-computing environments for optimal service delivery.

Jostens, The Main Street America Group and RLI Insurance are each adopting Indicative's integrated, single-product approach. Indicative's software is helping them manage their complex, distributed-systems environments in support of internal and customer-facing services that generate revenue-and create competitive advantage.

"Time and again we hear companies in the market say they need a simpler, more effective and higher-return approach to managing IT, particularly when it comes to delivering services," said Lacy H. Edwards, Indicative Software's CEO. "Services have become the backbone of business, and as IT continues to accommodate the need to support them, we continue to expose the weaknesses-and the problems they create-of outdated first-generation systems management tool vendors."

Common, conventional management tools typically require an unwieldy assembly of point products that attempt to manage for services from the component level. Indicative's single-product approach effectively and efficiently monitors across entire IT ecosystems, and allows administrators to proactively troubleshoot and avert potential service degradation caused by problems within the enterprise. It helps to assure services are delivered to meet user expectations and service level agreements.

Jostens, the provider of commemorative products best known for school class rings and yearbooks, is using Indicative's end-to-end IT service management software to improve yearbook production and services to its customers.

"Indicative's software has done an excellent job for us thus far," said Matt Cody, Jostens senior systems engineer. "It's enabled timely problem discovery and rapid root cause analysis, which are invaluable capabilities for supporting our online desktop publishing application serving thousands of users."

RLI Insurance is a subsidiary of Peoria, IL-based specialty insurance company RLI Corp., which offers a diversified portfolio of property and casualty coverage serving "niche" or underserved markets. RLI is using Indicative to proactively avert problems with applications such as policy management and claims processing across its 23 remote offices.

The Main Street America Group, a super regional property-casualty insurance carrier that generates approximately $900 million in direct premium, recently installed Indicative 7.5 for its single-product, end-to-end monitoring and troubleshooting capabilities, and realized a near-instantaneous return on investment.

"We tested a number of other products to monitor business-critical applications, but we couldn't get a number of them to work," said Patrick Healey, manager of software systems engineering at Main Street America. "It used to take us months to figure out and resolve those sorts of problems, but Indicative reduced this effort to mere hours. It's become invaluable for both our quality assurance and our production environments."

"Indicative is reaping success with customers largely because our application-like approach doesn't induce the costly complexity of tool approaches," Edwards said. "They're getting wise to the folly of conventional tools, which inevitably impose open-ended time and cost burdens upon them."
