Vista Ventures focuses on investments in the greater Rocky Mountains. |
We invest in early- and growth-stage IT, communications and media and data services companies that provide unique products and services, and that have the potential to become market leaders. We like to be early investors in companies with the vision to provide a "must have" product or service and the desire to build a sustainable competitive advantage. Vista also invests in enabling technologies that are revolutionizing an array of traditional industries.
The firm focuses on companies in the greater Rocky Mountain region. However, we do look broadly at deals, particularly in the southwestern U.S. where we can still be helpful in actively supporting the company.
Vista typically invests $1 - 2 million in its first investment in a company and $4 - 5 million over the life of the company.
An Active Role Vista is often the lead investor, and we typically co-invest with other firms in both early and follow-on rounds. We believe in forming strong syndicates as a means to bring the broadest set of resources and contacts to the companies in which we invest. We will usually take a board seat with our investment.
